Page 1: Protest to not delaying departure of HMS Blake and the lack of naval vessel nearer than Bahamas; suggests MOD should be told that situation in SVG believed to be serious enough to warrant having a ship within 24 hour distance; ship not needed for definite period but can be dealt with on day to day basis.

Also minuted on same day by Newsam; 1) reports that Newsam and Watkins (MOD) have spoken and are moving forward accordingly with MOD pending receipt of paper copies of comms. 2) Watkins reports SNOWI has been spoken to.

Page 2: No reason to detain HMS Blake; Bermuda patrol alerted, 48 hour steaming time; HMS Lowestoft en route via, should take 2.5 days; with HMS Blake in area for another 24 hours, should be a ship within a days steaming time for whole period.
